Two ranges are both called “Tolix”, and they are not the same chair

We sell a genuine powder-coated steel Replica Tolix chair and a separate polypropylene Replica Tolix chair, and it is easy to order the wrong one. The steel version is 4.8kg, indoor use only, needs no assembly and is static load tested to 250kg. The polypropylene version is lighter, rated for outdoor use as well, and immune to rust and paint chipping since the colour is moulded through rather than coated on. If your venue is outdoors, order the polypropylene version. If you want the original cold-rolled steel weight and finish, order the powder-coated version.

Materials, in more detail

Polypropylene. The Envy chair is single-mould injection polypropylene reinforced with fibreglass, with UV protection to slow fading. It measures 520mm deep by 520mm wide by 820mm tall, floor to seat 440mm, weighs 4.3kg, stacks four high, and carries a 2 year warranty with a 250kg static seat load test.

Powder-coated steel. The Replica Tolix chair is 470mm deep by 460mm wide by 870mm tall, floor to seat 450mm, weighs 4.8kg, needs no assembly, and carries a 12 month warranty with a 250kg static seat load test. Indoor use only.

Aluminium and texteline. The Parisian chair uses a welded aluminium frame with a 2x2mm weave texteline seat and an elastic under-seat for added support. It measures 600mm deep by 450mm wide by 840mm tall, floor to seat 455mm, weighs 3.3kg, needs no assembly, and carries a 12 month warranty with the same 250kg static load test. Rated for indoor and outdoor use.
